A few years ago I was lying in the bath listening to a dreamy instrumental by Grace Jones. Thanks to my musical OCD (nothing’s ever right!) I transformed Don’t Cry it’s Only the Rhythm from the Slave to the Rhythm album into a vocal version by stealing bits from other tracks on the LP. I think it works really well, even if it does go a bit loopy towards the end. Here’s the video I made from found footage…

Bloodshot Moon
I’ve been overdosing on the Werewolf Season on Film Four in the UK and also Being Human, the ingenious horror/comedy from BBC Three. You can tell, can’t you? This was originally a phone picture of the moon, and I’ve been meaning to do something with it for a while now. Inspired by ‘Werewolf’ by Cat Power, a beautiful and unsettling song which gives me the creeps. Remember, werewolves aren’t real, but some people do go a little loony around a waxing gibbous.
“Stay on the road. Keep clear of the moors. Beware the moon…”
Guilty Burps
Needy baby, greedy baby. As they say on The Big Bang Theory. My lovely old ginger tom sitting in a pizza box.
Sunday
This is another shot from my Chorlton photo diary. We wandered round the village on Sunday, pretending it’s spring and loving the winter sun because it’s Britain and we all know this might actually count as summer this year. It’s so close to the city, yet it feels like the country. I’m beginning to lose my urban headache and feel the peace settling around me.
