September’s here again. For several years I’ve been promising myself I would make this film. This year I realised I had two days to start from scratch if I wanted to release it in time. So here it is, after a sprint for the finish – what I see in my head when I hear David Sylvian’s September.

Psychedelic Artwork from England
It’s a gift! The home of the Chorlton Cat Cartel, Mark Wallis Design is expanding, with new lines such as coffee mugs and tote bags. Also new are my wooden pattern boxes and prints and greetings cards featuring Rainy City. Pop down to Chorlton Art Market in the precinct off Four Banks on Wilbraham Road, or buy online at markwallisdesign.com
Miracle Goodnight
“Burning up each others’ love, burning up our lives
Tried all kinds of working out, miracle goodnight
Future full and empty knocking on my door
Ragged limbed and hungry mama
Miracle no more…
…haven’t got a death wish
I never want to say goodnight.”
Living graffiti which moves, looks like it’s sleeping and then stares at you. With this animated painting, I wanted to illustrate the immortality of David Bowie. The music stays.
Have a Kate Bush Christmas!
December Will Be Magic Again by Kate Bush has inspired two new Christmas card designs for 2015, which I’ve based on a famous photograph by Gered Mankowitz and a rare picture from a magazine photoshoot (photographer unknown.) These cards come in a 4-pack with 2 of each design in a large, luxury format with envelopes and cellophane sleeves. Ideal for those special Fish People in your life, buy them here http://www.markwallisdesign.com/shop/4586114626/kate-bush-christmas-cards-4-pack/10219093
Kate Bush Before The Dawn animation
My Kate Bush Before The Dawn poster got a mixed reaction, praised and savaged in equal measure, despite only being fan art. When it appeared as an imaginary DVD cover, the trolls rose up again and gave me a good grilling. I’m bulletproof now, which is just as well: here’s the animated version, illustrating my most vivid memories of Kate’s phenomenal stage show in 2014. If you enjoyed it, please drop by my Facebook page and give it a like! Thanks.
