It’s with a heavy heart that I pack 13 years of my life into boxes ready to move on to pastures new. I’ll miss my bohemian loft, having lived in the Northern Quarter since I moved back to England from Amsterdam in 2000. Our landlord failed to extend his lease and so we all knot our spotted hankies and wander off into the wide blue yonder. ‘Change, my dear, and not a moment too soon,’ as The Doctor says while regenerating in a halo of golden light, and emerging with a completely new appearance. I’m thinking of it as regeneration…

Be The Light
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m very proud to announce the World Premiere of my latest video. The Manchester Lesbian and Gay Chorus sang ‘Dream a Little Dream of Me’ for the World AIDS Day Partnership’s Be The Light candlelight procession. It was a magical evening, as you can see, and we froze our bits off! But we stopped traffic. This is a little film I made for everyone who volunteered. Let’s make next year even bigger and better!

Skyline Design
I made an impressionistic photo-collage of my neighbourhood, Manchester’s Northern Quarter and it’s distinctive skyline. As you can see from looking at my blog, I love texture and paper, and it wasn’t long before my bohemian skyline design became like a print on a crumpled paper shopping bag. Then I fed the images through the kaleidoscope on my phone and arrived at what appears to be lo-fi retro wallpaper prints. I love recycling stuff!
