Remember when interracial marriage was illegal? Hopefully, one day soon, this fight for the most basic of civil rights will be consigned to the same shameful page of history.

Happy Spring Equinox!
The Rites of Spring, celebrated by our earliest ancestors, worshipping Mother Nature. Most Easter rituals have been imported from their Pagan predecessors, such as the ancient fertility symbols of the egg and the hare, or rabbit. It’s as old as early man first recognising the significance of the change in season and the passing of winter. Easter has been celebrated for less than 2000 years, although chocolate doesn’t appear in the Bible, I’m sure it will do soon!

Grace Replaced
A few years ago I was lying in the bath listening to a dreamy instrumental by Grace Jones. Thanks to my musical OCD (nothing’s ever right!) I transformed Don’t Cry it’s Only the Rhythm from the Slave to the Rhythm album into a vocal version by stealing bits from other tracks on the LP. I think it works really well, even if it does go a bit loopy towards the end. Here’s the video I made from found footage…
“Sometimes I need sunshine in my mind.”

Bloodshot Moon
I’ve been overdosing on the Werewolf Season on Film Four in the UK and also Being Human, the ingenious horror/comedy from BBC Three. You can tell, can’t you? This was originally a phone picture of the moon, and I’ve been meaning to do something with it for a while now. Inspired by ‘Werewolf’ by Cat Power, a beautiful and unsettling song which gives me the creeps. Remember, werewolves aren’t real, but some people do go a little loony around a waxing gibbous.
“Stay on the road. Keep clear of the moors. Beware the moon…”
