“Hello? Yes it’s true! It’s amazing – they just do exactly what you tell them to! It’s like they understand us. Mine’s got two legs so I guess that makes him a butler… or chauffeur if we’re in the limo. Yes…three meals a day and central heating. Fabulous. Ok – gotta go, he’s coming! T’ra!”

Sparky was a wonderful cat, no doubt about that…
Cheers Herman 😀
I always think that my cat has wild parties the moment I step out of the apartment. He invites his crazy domestic friends and they brag how slow or unprofessional their two-legged servants are.
Technically, in law it’s not classed as slavery if we are shown to be willing.
I think sometimes it borders on slavery but cats are generally humane.
Unless you’re a mouse! 😉
Or a pretty little bird… Or a fish… Or a hamster… So many ifs 🙂
Wonderful picture.
Thanks, this one was a random grab from the archives, but I wanted something silly and light-hearted.
Yes, I do feel sometimes that I’m just a cat wallah. We are lucky: we still have our ginger cat, Murgatroyd, with us, though he’s getting on. My beloved cat, Timmy, died last March. I still miss him a lot.
Love every moment, Mrs Daffodil, that’s what I say 🙂
Our Scootie went to live with Sparky about six weeks ago. Missing him madly. *caring*
Much love from Rach.
Hi Rach, sorry to hear you lost Scootie – I hope Sparky is playing with him up there! And I hope you have lots of happy memories to see you through 🙂
So sorry, didn’t know about this little fella having left you with a whole in your life. What a gorgeous boy he was 😉
Thankyou, he was lovely. A real character, and irreplaceable I think. He still makes me smile even now.
((((purrs))))
The best sound in the whole world is a cat purring 🙂
Yes, as a two-legged, I would do anything for my four-leggeds- especially when they look into my eyes with a loving wink and purrrrr… remembering Sparky with love…
Sparky would always show affection for me and then immediately follow it by running enthusiastically to his food bowl and looking excited. A very clever cat!
Mark, I didn’t realize you lost him so close to Christmas–just adds to the loss, as if it wasn’t painful enough. He was gorgeous, and after reading you for the past year I truly know what a friend he was to you.
I know! It was a tough Xmas, on autopilot. And there’s a strange epilogue to Sparky’s story… more on that in the New Year (it’s a happy ending)
Godspeed Sparky! I’m truly sorry for your loss.
