2014: Sun, Success and a Sorceress
2012/13 were disasterous for me. But this year has been the charm. I saw Kate Bush live: the musical sorceress put on a show in London that blew us away in September – ‘There are no words’ said Panos. We travelled to Mount Olympus in sunny Greece and saw the most beautiful village in the world, Colmar in France. I exhibited my artwork in Manchester and London, set up my own online store and got a record 3,800 likes for my Tales of the City artwork via Armistead Maupin on Facebook. When I put it all together, I feel like Tigger.

Launching Mark Wallis Design took a lot of time and effort, but I also managed to remix Kate Bush and Goldfrapp, get back into oil painting, and meet Armistead Maupin! I might move slowly but I never keep still – Happy New Year to all.
December Will Be Magic Again – Kate Bush Christmas Cards

I’ve been busy experimenting with digital paint and illustration, and this is a design inspired by the wonderfully baroque Christmas song December Will Be Magic Again by Kate Bush. It’s now available as a hand-made card from Mark Wallis Design, in packs of 4. For the Fish Person in your life, grab them now or stock up for next year!
Yuletide Circus – Hand Made Christmas Cards
The Yuletide circus is here! This is a collection of 4 original festive designs, some of them naughty, all of them nice. Featuring a cure for carol singers, a rescue fox and a Victorian Carousel, each card is hand made by my good self and comes with it’s own square envelope 144 x 144mm blank inside.

Kate Bush Before the Dawn Art Print
Imagine if the cover of Kate Bush’s new DVD looked like this! It’s only unofficial fan art, but I’ve tried to capture the excitement of going to see the live show back in September. This is a celebration of the hugely emotional performance which made the dreams and nightmares of The Ninth Wave and A Sky of Honey into an epic reality. For three hours in Hammersmith, we perched on the edge of our seats like electrified meerkats, afraid to miss one second of Kate being shipwrecked, tried as a witch, drowned and then fired through an impossible sunset into space. Until the official live DVD, we can at least fantasise about that the cover might look like, which is available as a limited edition fine art print, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kate-Bush-Print-/221574377836?hash=item3396dcb16c&clk_rvr_id=712381339995
