The sunsets were breath-taking. People would stop talking and watch in awe. Others screamed and applauded. But most interesting of all was the reaction of macho Australian tourists, who fought vainly to make bullish comments as they were swamped in the fiery colours which left the rest of us speechless and spellbound.
